MERU leaders embarrass KINDIKI badly as KIRAITU is declared king - UHURU SHOCKED!
The supremacy battle between Meru Senator, Kiraitu Murungi, and his Tharaka Nithi counterpart, Prof Kithure Kindiki, played out on Saturday during President Kenyatta’s function in Meru County, with Kiraitu declaring himself as the ‘undisputed King’ of the Meru region.
In what appeared to be a well choreographed script, local MPs declared before Uhuru and his Deputy, William Ruto, that Kiraitu was the undisputed leader of the Ameru "and anyone seeking to talk to the Meru must do so through him."
All Meru County MPs described Kiraitu as the "coach of the Meru political team" due to his political experience.
They said Prof Kindiki is a baby in diapers and he should consult Kiraitu instead of engaging in supremacy battles on who is senior than the other.
At a function in Kathera Market, Imenti Central, it took an intervention from Uhuru for Kindiki to address the gathering after Kiraitu, who was the master of ceremony, snubbed the Tharaka Nithi Senator.
When Kiraitu asked Ruto to address the meeting before inviting the President, Kenyatta intervened and asked Kiraitu to "give Kindiki a chance to greet the people."
Kindiki who was calm and composed spoke about unity and asked area leaders to concentrate on development instead of politicking every day.
