Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s ODM has insisted that President Uhuru Kenyatta must sack beleaguered Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Anne Waiguru, over the sh826 million corruption scandal at the National Youth Service (NYS).

Addressing the press yesterday, ODM, through their Chairman, John Mbadi, challenged Uhuru to show some fairness in the fight against corruption by sacking or asking Waiguru to step aside just like her colleagues to facilitate room for investigations.

The ODM chairman wondered why President Uhuru Kenyatta was treating Anne Waiguru so special to the point that he is so afraid to tell her to step aside to allow investigations just as he told Charity Ngilu, Michael Kamau, Felix Koskei and Davis Chirchir.

Mbadi told Uhuru to come clean and tell Kenyans why Waiguru is so special to him saying there are no sacred cows in the war against corruption.

“What is so special about this Minister? If the Jubilee Government is serious on its resolve to fight graft, Waiguru by now should have stepped aside to allow for investigations; unless there is something that we don’t know about,” said Mbadi.
