Hi-tech security gadgets from US that will be used during OBAMA’s visit are already here
A United States Air Force plane carrying hi-tech communication and security equipment touched down in Nairobi on Thursday ahead of US President Barrack Obama’s visit next month.
The C-17 globe master plane touched down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) amid heavy security from American marines and GSU officers.
Sources at the US Embassy said the plane was full of 50 support vehicles and three truckloads of bullet proof glass. The vehicles comprise 22 counter assault vehicles and 20 bullet proof SUVs.
The source also said that in the next 3 weeks more than six US military planes will land in Nairobi to bring more sophisticated equipment including a machine that can jam the telephone network in the entire East Africa (Although they will jam it in some specific areas of the city).
One of the planes will bring specialised vehicles, such as the world famous, The Beast, the presidential limo expected in the country the night before his arrival.
