Revealed: Raila postponed his referendum because he realised Kenyans are tired with his rhetoric
Four Jubilee Alliance leaders have said former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, postponed the launch of his referendum because he realised Kenyans are tired with his empty rhetoric and antics.
On Monday, Raila through Okoa Kenyacommittee chairman, Paul Mwangi, said he had cancelled the event that was to take place on Wednesday at Bomas of Kenya due to the digital migration stalemate.
But leaders led by Kericho Senator Charles Keter, nominated Senators, Beatrice Elachi and Martha Wangari, and Kapseret MP, Oscar Sudi, said Raila “must have sensed the mood does not favour his push for a national referendum.”
The leaders said Raila’s CORD and the Council of Governors’ collection of signatures for a referendum is a futile effort.
“It is misplaced for CORD to insist on collecting signatures when the attention of the nation is on other important issues,” Elachi said
On his part, Sudi asked Raila to stop dividing Kenyans along ethnic lines.
