Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has again returned to politics barely two days after burying his son, Fidel Odinga, last Saturday.

Raila has shifted his attention this week to the race for the Homa Bay Senatorial by-election, where he intends to show Uhuru/ Ruto and ODM rivals some dust.

He will be leading the campaigns for the ODM candidate, Moses Kajwang', with who has since his direct nomination, received hostile reception in Homa Bay and has never held any peaceful campaign rally.

The former PM is also expected to lead campaigns on uniting the coalition’s votes after rifts emerged after they handpicked Moses Kajwang’ as ODM candidate.

“Raila will lead CORD MPs who will escort our candidate on Thursday to present his papers. Thereafter, we are planning the mother of all rallies in Homa Bay town to officially unveil Kajwang’, and to make it very clear that CORD has only one candidate, Moses Kajwang’,” said the Suna East MP, Junet Mohammed.
