Just after the passing of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s first born son, Fidel Odinga, many questions regarding who will benefit from his wealth and wife began to emerge.

This is according to Luo traditions and customs which demand for the deceased’s wealth to be inherited, including his wife, in any case where the deceased was a married man.

This will be no different in Fidel Odinga’s case because his younger brother Raila Odinga’s Junior, may be in line to inherit his beautiful Eritrean wife, Lwam.

This emerged out after Raila Junior assured his parents, Raila and Ida, and Fidel’s in-laws that he will take care of Lwam and her kid.

“I want to assure you all here that I will look after my late brother’s wife Lwam and the kid like Fidel would have wanted. They will never lack,” said Raila junior.

According to Raila Jnr’s statement during the  funeral has been construed by many to mean that he intends to inherit Lwam and adopt Fidel Odinga’s child to continue his lineage and preserve the wealth within the family.

There are some indications that the former Prime Minister and his wife Ida support the idea of their younger son inheriting Fidel’s wife.

However, it remains to be seen how things will pen out.
