LSK Chair Eric Mutua & Police Inspector General David Kimaiyo Face-Off In Lamu Curfew Extension

With a day to go, David Kimaiyo, the Kenya Police Inspector General has prolonged Lamu curfew by one more month. The curfew was imposed after a series of attacks by suspected Al-Shabaab militia leaving over 80 people dead.

The Law Society of Kenya, has however felt that the move by the inspector general to extend the days was unconstitutional. The curfew that should have ended on tomorrow will now end on November 23rd. Henceforth, LSK chairman, Eric Mutua has given David Kimaiyo a fortnight to lift the ban or else a case be filed in court regarding the matter.
